|An Army brat who was raised all over the world, Annie came back to the United States to go to Georgetown University. Once she graduated (with honors), she spent the next four years backpacking around the globe. She's done humanitarian work in third world countries and once spent three weeks on a beach in Sri Lanka, which is where she fell in love with Ben Mercer. He left her in the middle of the night with nothing but a goodbye note, a shell bracelet and a fifty dollar bar tab.|
Two years later, she was recruited by the CIA for her exceptional language skills.
After moving past Ben, she struck up a fairly successful relationship with Clayton Webb, one of the Deputy Directors at the Agency. Though they broke up a year and a half later, their relationship hasn't ended quite as easily. Still in love with Clay, and hurt by his treatment of her, she can't decide if she hates him enough to cut off all contact. Little does she know he watches almost every move she makes, at least professionally.
[FUTURE:] Six years in the future, Annie & Clay have married and, back from a six month deep-cover mission, she's recovering from some of the things she saw and did.
